PlayaBuilder fits owners building or remodeling a custom home, condo or small commercial project in the Riviera Maya who want a written budget, documented decisions and regular reports, especially owners who live abroad. There's no minimum project size: we've done one-week, US$9,800 condo conversions and US$689,000 custom homes.
PlayaBuilder isn't a fit for anyone who wants to do things outside the norm, such as skipping permits, paying cash to avoid taxes or cutting corners on labor. We're a registered company that pays its taxes and a living wage to all our workers, and our prices reflect that.
Ask: What's your price per m², and what's excluded? How are changes priced and approved? How do you verify progress before I pay? Who will I talk to every week? Can I visit a finished home? Are your workers registered with IMSS? A builder that avoids any of these isn't the right one.
